Something to Think About #4

Question to God: "What surprises You most about mankind?"

"That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore health. That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither for the present no the future. That they live as if they will never die, and they die as if they have never lived.."

This is the kind of skepticism we should steer our lives with. We obliterate our health, and then use our money to restore it. We live so much in different times, we never can live in the now. We live hoping that we will never die and, die hoping we had never lived. All paradoxical comments that show us how much worth and respect we discount to this one chance we have to make something of ourselves in the world. The human body is the one opportunity we have to succeed in thinking clearly, in contemplating things other than the temperature, or what to eat. And yet, all we do is worry about things that heed no future, when we shouldn't be worrying at all. Life is about living, it's about breathing, it's about doing; live it.
