Something to Think About #3

Prayer is not the spare tire we pull out when we feel life has gone flat. Prayer is the steering wheel that helps direct our life in the right path!

Religion has, is, and will continue to play a fairly large role in many peoples lives of the world. The significance of our presence on this earth is one of the main things that triggered the first religion, as a Divine creature instigates a purpose, a underlying theme to this life we live. Often associated with religion is prayer; praying to God for peace, health and happiness. However, in modern day times prayer has become a vacation spot, with people asking for their desired more than their necessities. Instead of praying for others, people pray for themselves, for their own wealth, prosperity and endless luck. The above statement puts the prayer of today in perspective. Prayer is not the last resort, it is not something that should be applied in desperate times. It is the action that should direct all other actions. It should come before, rather than after; such as in a preemptive strike. God, the Divine, the All Powerful, is too busy to worry about you missing the last model in the Jaguar Collection, or your lack of a PlayStation Video Game System; only resort to prayer for things that matter, and then, and only then, will it provide a better route out of the rut, and into the brighter light of the future.
